Your data stays on your Mac.

The short version

Moxie does not require an account and does not operate a backend server or database. We do not run analytics, tracking, or a cloud relay for your Moxie requests.

Data stored on your device

Moxie stores the data it needs to work on your Mac. Credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain. Account configuration, usage history, and request-log metadata are stored locally in Moxie app data.

Playground conversations are kept in memory while you use them. If you create an export or backup, it is your responsibility to protect it because it may contain sensitive account data.

AI providers

Moxie is a local proxy. When you send a request, Moxie sends it directly from your Mac to the provider you selected. That provider handles the request under its own privacy policy and terms. Moxie does not relay those requests through a Moxie server.

Website data

This website does not intentionally use analytics or advertising cookies. It stores your selected color theme in your browser's local storage so the site can remember it. Our hosting provider may process ordinary operational logs needed to deliver the website.

Purchases through Polar

When paid licenses are available, Polar processes checkout and payment information. Polar handles that information under its own privacy policy and checkout terms. Moxie does not operate a payment backend or customer database.
